Family, Hobbies and Favorite Pastimes:
Married to my awesome hubby for 36 years, we have 3 beautiful grown daughters, 2 wonderful son-in-laws, a very spoiled Great Dane named Murphy and 4 grand “furbabies”. Love volunteering and making our communities safe and welcoming to all. When I have free time, hiking and kayaking are my go-to hobbies! Love traveling too (Cannon Beach and mountains of Montana are my happy places) and always up for wine tasting with my friends!
I was born in Yakima, Washington, and raised in Littlerock and Tumwater. I graduated from Tumwater High School. After high school, I went to South Puget Sound Community College and graduated first with an AA and then an ATA in Paralegal Studies in the first graduating class. I worked as a paralegal for 11 years before switching careers to the funeral business. I’ve been in the funeral business for 26 years, and really enjoy helping families during this difficult time. I’ve been involved with All Kids Win as their Secretary since 2019, for about 5 years. I grew up in a household were wearing mainly hand-me-down clothes and having friends share their lunches with me was a normal thing. I’m passionate about AKW and helping students have a better chance of success, no matter what their home-life is.
Deanna East is the Executive Director of the North Thurston Education Foundation and the current Scholarship Chair for the All Kids Win Board. Her passion lies in ensuring all students have their basic needs met and the resources to succeed in life. Deanna worked for North Thurston Public Schools for 18 years. She was an All Kids Win Site Coordinator while working at Timberline High School for 11 years and supported homeless families as a Homeless Student Navigator for 5 years. She joined the All Kids Win board in 2022 to initiate the scholarship program.
I’ve been actively volunteering in my local community for over 15 years. For the past two years, I have been a Board Member and Scholarship Committee member for All Kids Win. I am also a weekly bag delivery driver to ensure students receive their weekend food bags. I have seen firsthand how having a lack of food can be detrimental to a child’s development. I support All Kids Win and volunteer with them to help make an impact for those children, in hopes it alleviates their struggle even just a little bit.

The mission of All Kids Win holds great significance for me. I am passionate about ensuring that no child goes hungry. My name is Trina Henderson. I have been in Thurston County for over 20 years. I started my bookkeeping business during the lockdown in 2020. I love that I can help business owners in the state of Washington. I’ve been married for 7 years in July 2024. My husband and I have a child and one more that will be here at the end of August 2024.
I am involved with AKW, because I have seen kids that I went to school with that were struggling and now many many years later it has gotten worse. It is a privilege to be part of the board of AKW and volunteering, it is so rewarding giving back to the community that I love so much.
In 2020 when I saw AKW in action handing out food bags to many kids at our school, Salish Middle School, my heart had to know more. Right away I got the opportunity to join a bagging party where I could see how many volunteers it took to make this happen every single week. Being a mother to four of my own kids, I was so grateful to know there was an organization helping kids make it through the weekend with full bellies. I couldn’t imagine the struggle of feeding my own four if there wasn’t a resource like this. Thankfully we are able to support All Kids Win by volunteering and I joined the board. As a local business owner, getting connected to the community matters to me! Finding ways to help youth be successful is so important – future community leaders are often born out of these circumstances. I love being a part of a community that focuses on real help for youth!!
